The colour of the year 2022, according to Pantone Color Institute, is Very Peri which is a
beautiful light purple where its “courageous presence encourages personal inventiveness and
creativity”.
This year we are seeing a change from neutral tones of grey white and black to the use of
jewel-tone, monochromatic colours.
Some more popular colours people are loving this year are blues, greens, purples, browns, and
black.
It looks like elegant colours are the way to go for 2022.

Textures are something most of us don’t think about but they can bring individuality and depth to

The ones that are popular for 2022 are leather, sheathing, velvet and brass giving us a
throwback to 20th-century design.
Some predict a rise in nature-based textures like marble counters in kitchens.
It’s also likely that we will see more natural wood fittings which will give people’s homes
comfortable energy that, after the last year, we are all in need of.
